Goal & Content

This year-long course meets weekly and is directed at both the new computer user as well as the experienced computer user in high school. Due to the ever-changing nature of computer technology, this course changes each year. The goal of this course is to acquaint the student with as much technology as possible. That technology will include both hardware and software. The list below shows some of the topics covered in this course.

The abilities and computer savvy of incoming students also continue to improve and as a result, the structure of this course also changes. This year's course will include many of the topics above as well as other topics which the world of computer technology may thrust upon us.

Grading

The grade for this course is based on completion of assignments (50%), adherence to the requirements of each assignment (25%), and quality done on each assignment (25%). The following percentages will be used to determine the letter grade which goes on the student report card:

93-100% A 80-83% B- 67-69% D+
90-92% A- 77-79% C+ 64-66% D
87-89% B+ 74-76% C 60-63% D-
84-86% B 70-73% C- 0-59% F
