Concert Band

Concert Band

Concert Band, a co-curricular activity, introduces a wide range of music to participating students. Meeting once or twice a week, compositions from Bach and Handel to more recent Gershwin songs and Broadway show-tunes provide both challenge and reward. Several selections from these are often performed at the Christmas and Spring concerts.

Flute Choir

Flute Choir

Flute choir is open to all ILC flutists. Performances have included the Star Spangled Banner at basketball games, Christmas music for nursing homes, pre-service music at Messiah church, appearances at the Piano/Organ Recital, and features during the end-of-semester ILC concerts. We rehearse regularly during first semester and part-time during second semester.

Jazz Band

Jazz Band

Jazz Band began at Immanuel the fall of 2002. We predominantly play the music of Duke Ellington, but we've performed tunes by Fats Waller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, and even George Gershwin. The music is very challenging and rewarding when it comes together.

Pep Band

Pep Band

Pep Band plays for home volleyball and basketball games. Our current repertoire of about 25 songs keeps us hopping. The band plays about 40 times during the school year, which allows the musicians to get very comfortable with their instruments and improve their technique.

Piano & Organ

Piano & Organ

On campus weekly piano and organ lessons are offered on a credit or noncredit basis. Four instructors are available to students in the high school, college, and seminary levels. Two recitals are given throughout the year and opportunities to play for chapel and other services are encouraged for those who are interested.

Tour Choir

Tour Choir

Each year anticipation is high as the student body tries out for the thirty-two spots on the Tour Choir. Year round, this group prepares to carry the Word of God in music to CLC congregations around the country.

In the spring, the Tour Choir travels one of three different routes to various parts of the country conducting sacred concerts of praise to the Lord. These ambassadors of Christ also conduct several concerts at area congregations.
